The machine stabilizes the product using a technology that synchronizes the movement of the container with the cap tightening speed. The technology lets you tighten the cap gradually without causing any damages to the cap and without any urethane or plastic particles. The quick and simple torque adjustments give very stable cap tightening values: runs up to 300 per minute. NJM/CLI introduces Equatorque, servo-driven rotary screw capping machines that improve the precision of the capping operation to maximize product quality. Featuring Elau brushless servo-motors at each capping head, Equatorque accurately controls torque from zero to 35 lb/in (four Nm) and enables on-the-fly torque adjustments to be made without slowing the machine via the local operator interface or remotely via an optional Ethernet connection. The Equatorque screw capping machines self-calibrate each head during every screwing cycle to compensate for torque changes caused by mechanical shifts. The system constantly monitors the performance of each head – when a fault is identified, the system signals operators via an alarm and, if equipped with NJM/CLI's optional reject system, automatically removes containers with faulty caps from the production line.Capping comes next with an NJM/CLI Model Unicap 150 screw capping machines running through a PLC. Caps are fed to the machine through a chute connected to a waterfall-style sorter. As caps travel from the elevator to the capper, they pass by airjets that blow misoriented caps back into the hopper.The screw capping machines incorporate four sets of horizontal discs in series to tighten the caps, and two individual sets of air clutches for torque control. A cap inspection system after the screw capping machine checks for skewed or missing caps and missing foil liners. |
